At American Homes 4 Rent, we do strive for work-life balance although during our Leasing Season that can sometimes be difficult to achieve. During September 2016, the Contact Center Employees averaged less than 10 hours of overtime. New scheduling options are being considered for 2017 in efforts to lower this further. Remote work for all employees & reasonable compensation.

There is no defense or excuse for the condition of the majority of the homes this company owns. American Homes 4 Rent is a slum landlord. Management very unorganized, policy and procedures constantly changing. Property management very lazy and does not like to speak with residents. Alot of benefits offered that most companies do not offer. They chew through employees and don't care about any kind of balance.

American Home prides itself on delivering the highest level of Customer Service. Our customer service department is staffed with professionals, experienced in multiple product lines and various systems. Our Customer Service professionals use a computerized database to track your order and service ticket as it progresses through its completion.
- Poor Communication - Hires for a role, but then gives you tasks that aren't relevant to that role. - Most employees/ managers have less then 2 years with the company. - Turn-over rate is at 80-90% I was with this company less then 6 months and there were 2 people let go from my team alone. - Management will conduct behind the scenes investigations behind your back without you having any prior knowledge, then send their findings to HR to have them handle termination procedures. - Overall terrible experience and a waste of my time.
